Where can I get Allwell Medicare Advantage?
In 2025, Allwell sells Medicare Advantage plans in 10 states:
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Indiana
- Kansas
- Missouri
- Nevada
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Texas
- Washington
In every state but Washington, the plans come from Wellcare by Allwell. In Washington, the plans are sold under just the Allwell brand.
Allwell is not continuing Medicare Advantage plans in Florida, Illinois, Michigan, or Texas for 2025. If you live in one of these states and already had an Allwell plan, you’ll need to find a new option.
If you live in Texas, contact an Allwell agent to buy a plan or discuss your options.
Allwell’s website says it is not going to renew Texas plans for 2025, but plans are still available on Medicare.gov. ValuePenguin contacted Allwell to confirm plans are available in Texas in 2025, but it’s unclear why the website says existing plans will not continue. Given the confusion, it’s probably best to contact an agent to make sure you can buy a plan.

Allwell Medicare plan options
Allwell offers several types of Medicare Advantage plans.
- HMO plans: With an HMO, you have to have a primary doctor who gives you referrals to specialists. Your plan also won’t pay anything if you go outside the network of doctors. Allwell sells HMO plans in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Texas.
- PPO plans: These plans let you see any doctor, even if they’re outside the plan’s network, and will still give you some coverage. You also don’t need a referral to see a specialist. Allwell sells PPOs in Indiana and Kansas.
- HMO-POS plans: HMO-POS plans are a blend between HMOs and PPOs. Like an HMO, you still need a primary care doctor, and your plan still has a network of doctors. But like a PPO, you can go to a specialist without a referral, and your plan will cover out-of-network doctors, although you’ll pay less if you stay in the network. Allwell sells HMO-POS plans in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio and Washington.
Allwell also sells two types of Special Needs Slans, or SNPs. These are Medicare Advantage plans that are created with specific health care needs in mind.
- Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs): These plans work to coordinate your care between both Medicare and Medicaid if you qualify for both. Allwell sells D-SNPs in Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
- Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs): C-SNPs are designed for people with chronic conditions, like diabetes or heart disease. The plans can make it easier to go to the doctors and specialists you need to see for your condition. Allwell sells C-SNPs in Arizona and Nevada.
Allwell does not sell Medicare Supplement plans or Medicare Part D prescription drug plans. But you might be able to get a Medicare Supplement or Part D plan through Wellcare, which is owned by Centene, the same parent company as Allwell.
Allwell Medicare Advantage benefits and perks
Allwell plans come with good perks and benefits outside of the medical coverage.
The perks vary depending on where you live and the plan you choose. Check your plan documentation to see what perks you have.
- Silver&Fit: This is a fitness program that lets you go to some gyms for free. You can also do at-home workouts and get free or discounted kits that include weights, resistance bands, yoga mats and more.
- My Wellcare Rewards: This program gives you points for completing health and wellness activities. You can redeem the points for a gift card.
- Over-the-counter perks: Your plan might include a Wellcare Spendables Card, which gives you a fixed amount to spend on things like bandages, cold medicine and personal care items like toothpaste.
- Dental coverage: Like many Medicare Advantage plans, Allwell plans often include coverage for dental care, like cleanings and fillings.
- Transportation: If you need help getting to and from doctor appointments, your Allwell Medicare Advantage plan might be able to help.
While extra benefits can be useful, you shouldn’t buy a plan just because of a perk. When you’re shopping for a Medicare Advantage plan, make sure the plan works for your medical needs first. You can use the extra perks as a tie-breaker if you’re deciding between two plans.
